Spray Decks
A spray deck is essential for safety reasons when sea kayaking on the open ocean and they also offer advantages for other sit-in kayakers.
A spraydeck helps to keep you drier and warmer than you would be without it and gives some protection from the sun in summer.
It has bungy around the perimeter which fits under the combing to lock it in.
Cockpit covers are also available for storage and when travelling.
Australis kayaks have 2 different sized cockpits and require decks to match:
- Bass and Barra
- all other sit-in kayaks and sea kayaks
