Barra compared to the Bass by Australis
-
The Bass and Barra kayaks are essentially the
same, as the Barra was modelled directly off the Bass.
-
The only difference is that the Barra has a keel moulded in at the rear to make straight line paddling easier than in the Bass.
-
The Barra is more suitable than the Bass for first time paddlers.
Barra compared to the Acadia 280 by Perception
-
Both kayaks run easily in a straight line. -
The Barra has a full-pan seat rather than an integrated seat.
This means that the weight of the paddler is spread more evenly over the entire perimetre of the seat, rather than having the full weight of the paddler concentrated in a few places.
